CLOUD COMPUTING
What is cloud computing?
Cloud Computing is a technology that is is providing a way to connect to the servers that run the applications.
It is used by user use for transferring the data and accessing using internet and central remote servers for maintaining data and applications.
Using this technology one can able to access all personal data at any given moment, able to organize data from any online source and also able to share that data, photos, movies, contacts, e-mail, documents, etc. with friends, family, and colleague in an instant. This is what cloud computing deliver.
Characteristics:-
1- Device and System Location:- This characteristic of cloud computing allow the users to access the systems using web browser regardless of their location or no mater what type of device they used (e.g., PC, LAPTOP, ULTRABOOK, MOBILE PHONES).
2- Reliability:- Reliability is enhanced if multiple redundant sites are used. So a well designed cloud computing is suitable for continuity of business and recovery of disaster.
3-Security:- Every user wants security while transferring data so cloud computing provides secure access.
4- Cost:- Cost is reduced using cloud computing because it does not require any hardware tools for sharing the data. So this technology is beneficial for the users.
5-Maintenance:- Maintenance of cloud computing applications is very easy because they do not need any hardware tool to be installed on each user's computer.
About cloud computing:-
Cloud computing is divided into three category:-
1-Application.
2- Storage
3-connectivity.
Each category serves a different purpose and offers different products and services for businesses and individuals around all over the world.
1-Application:-
Cloud computing is defined as a system through which software programs and storage space can be accessed using internet.
- Hardware costs would decrease because cloud computing systems would reduce the need for advanced, expensive hardware.
- Clients could access their applications and data from anywhere at any time using a computer and internet.
- Cloud computing provides applications to organizations which better suits to run them.
"This is the cloud computing model where service providers make their computing resources available online for the public."
2-Storage:-
Storage is a type of cloud computing application which is used for providing storage space on a remote server. These services are accessed over the internet and useful for backing up files. They can make it possible for a small business to store documents and other media files without purchasing or maintaining external hard drives or file servers.
3-Connectivity:-
Meaning of connectivity is defined as ability to make the connection and maintain it between two or more parties or people for sharing the data using some media like a computer is connected to another computer using internet.
Connectivity in cloud provides the connection for sharing tha data between server and user.Connectivity in the cloud is important because your network infrastructure needs to be fast, secure, and reliable.
Cloud Computing connectivity provides the network and communications infrastructure that is right for you and your business.Web services and cloud computing also has a big influence on hardware.
Cloud computing changes the way we think about computers.
it provides various features so that most of us will use software running on remote computers.
Service model of cloud computing:-
- Software as a service (SaaS)
- Platform as a service (PaaS)
- Infrastructure as a service (IaaS)
Software as a service (SaaS):- Saas is a software distribution model in which applications are hosted by a vendor or service provider and made available to customers over internet.
Platform as a Service (PaaS):- Paas is a paradigm for delivering operating systems and associated services over the internet without any downloads or installation.
Infrastructure as a service (IaaS):- Iaas defines outsourcing the equipment used to operations like storage, hardware, servers and networking components.
Deployment model of cloud computing:-
Public Cloud:- Public cloud services, applications, storage, and many other resources are made available to the common public by a service provider.
Most of these services are free or offered a pay- per use model.

Hybrid Cloud:- Hybrid cloud is defined as a composition of two or more clouds e.g private, community or public, that remain unique entities but are bound to each other, offering benefits of multiple deployment models.
Private Cloud:- This deployment model is cloud infrastructure which operates solely for a single organization, whether it is managed internally or by third-party .
